ROS Contraamiral August Roman departed from Gölcük Port on July 9, 2026. The delegation was seen off by the Deputy Commander of the Navy. The Contraamiral August Roman was welcomed with a ceremony in Constanța, Romania, on July 10, 2026.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of National Defense Musa Heybet, the Commander of the Istanbul Shipyard, the Naval Air Commander, and the Head of Inspection and Evaluation of the Naval Forces.
During the ceremony, Musa Heybet, who held official meetings with Romanian Minister of Defense Radu-Dinel Miruta and Naval Forces Commander Vice Admiral Mihai Panait, touched upon mutual defense cooperation and production capabilities, as well as the bilateral relations expected to grow even further, in his speech.
