The Republic of Indonesia Warship (KRI) Teluk Gilimanuk (TGK)-531, which is under the operational control of the Indonesian Navy’s Natural Disaster Management Task Force (Satgas Gulbencal) departed to continue its journey to the Lhokseumawe and Kuala Idie areas, Aceh from the Bandar Deli-Belawan Pier, Medan, Thursday (4/12/2025).

Previously, the KRI TGK-531 had carried out the embarkation of humanitarian aid logistics for victims affected by the flash flood disaster in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra at the Bandar Deli-Belawan Pier, Medan Wednesday (3/12) at 17.00 WIB until Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 01.00 WIB in the morning, under the supervision of the Commander of the KRI TGK-531, Lieutenant Colonel (P) Erwin Dwi Febrianto. 

The delivery of this aid logistics was prioritized for two areas in Aceh, namely Lhokseumawe and Kuala Idie (East Aceh) in the form of food supplies. The Commander of KRI TGK-531 stated that the entire logistics embarkation process was carried out according to procedure and was a concrete manifestation of the Indonesian Navy’s commitment to supporting disaster management and humanitarian assistance efforts in the Indonesian region.

The delivery of this humanitarian aid was in line with the order of the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali to all ranks to continue to increase concern for others, especially victims affected by natural disasters, and the presence of the Indonesian Navy was expected to provide significant benefits to the surrounding community.
