After carrying out its noble task as a UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon, namely the Maritime Task Force (MTF) TNI Konga XXVIII-O/UNIFIL, KRI Diponegoro (DPN)-365 returned to sail across the ocean towards the Indonesian homeland. On that occasion, the Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Hajriyanto Y. Thohari, and staff from the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut saw off the departure from the Port of Beirut, Lebanon on Saturday (18/01) yesterday.
Previously, a series of Transfer of Authority (TOA) activities had been carried out, namely the handover of duties and responsibilities from KRI DPN-365 to KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda (SIM)-367, which indicated that it had completed its mission for MTF UNIFIL.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon expressed his pride in all the dedication, devotion, and achievements of all soldiers while carrying out their duties as mandated by the UN, as well as playing an important role in the diplomatic mission as a cultural ambassador to help promote Indonesian arts and culture while in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, the Commander of KRI DPN-365, Lieutenant Colonel Laut (P) Wirastyo Haprabu expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon and the entire extended family of the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut for all forms of cooperation and support during this one year. Furthermore, KRI DPN-365 will go through several stages of sailing before heading to Indonesia starting from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Salalah (Oman), and Colombo (Sri Lanka).
On various occasions, the Chief of Staff of the Navy (Kasal) Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali conveyed to all Jalasena soldiers, especially soldiers who are on peace missions, to always give their best in every task entrusted and to maintain the good name of the Indonesian Navy, nation, and country in the eyes of the world.
