KRI Bima Suci, which carried Cadets of the Naval Academy (AAL) of the 73rd Batch in the 2026 Kartika Jala Krida Training Unit (Satlat KJK) officially left the Port of Shanghai, China, Thursday (28/05/2026), to continue the voyage to Busan, South Korea as the next stage in the goodwill mission of diplomacy of the nation’s ambassadors.

The departure of KRI Bima Suci from Shanghai took place with enthusiasm and pride after several days of carrying out various international and cultural diplomacy activities with the Navy and the people of Shanghai. While docked in China, the 2026 KJK Satlat carried out a number of important agendas such as Courtesy Call, Deck Reception, open ship, to the performance of the Jala Gita Taruna AAL Flute Drum which received the attention of the local community.

The procession of the release of the KRI Bima Suci was officially held at the Port of Shanghai pier and was attended by the Defense Attaché of the Republic of Indonesia in China Admiral TNI Sumartono, Deputy Chief of Staff Colonel Yang, and the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Shanghai Berlianto Situngkir. Also present at the release were officials of the Shanghai Navy, staff of the Indonesian Consulate General in Shanghai, representatives of the Chinese military, as well as all soldiers and cadets of the 2026 KJK Satlat.

An enthusiastic atmosphere seemed to accompany the departure of the Navy’s proud high-mast training ship as it slowly left the Port of Shanghai pier. Cadets and soldiers lined up neatly on the deck of the ship while waving their hands as a symbol of friendship and respect for the host.

The Commander of KRI Bima Suci, Lt. Col. (P) Sugeng Hariyanto, S.E., M.Tr. Opsla., said that the voyage to Busan is an important part of the 2026 Lattek Kartika Jala Krida series to expand horizons, shipping experiences, and strengthen friendly relations between nations through maritime diplomacy.

This voyage is not only a means of practical training for the 73rd batch of AAL Cadets, but also a medium of diplomacy that brings Indonesia’s good name in the international world through the spirit of friendship, culture, and professionalism of TNI Navy soldiers.

On a separate occasion, Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali said that the participation of the Indonesian Navy in the voyage of goodwill diplomacy is the implementation of the ideals of the Indonesian nation to create friendship and introduce culture to the international world.
