KRI Bima Suci officially departed from Busan Naval Base, South Korea, to Vladivostok, Russia, on Saturday (6/6/2026), after carrying out a four-day visit in the context of the 2026 Kartika Jala Krida (KJK) goodwill shipping mission and practice exercise.

The departure of the TNI Navy’s proud high-mast training ship marked the start of the seventh stage of the 2026 KJK voyage which this time was attended by 77 Cadets of the 73rd Naval Academy from the Engineering, Electrical and Supply Corps. The release of KRI Bima Suci was led by the Commander of KRI Bima Suci Lieutenant Colonel (P) Sugeng Hariyanto, S.E., M.Tr.Opsla., and was also attended by the Assistant Defense Attaché of the Republic of Indonesia in South Korea, Marine Major Fachrul.

Previously, on June 5, 2026, a rotation of cadet personnel had been carried out, where the Marine Corps Cadets who had completed the previous voyage stage returned to the Naval Academy in Surabaya. Furthermore, the relay of the exercise was continued by the Engineering, Electrical and Supply Corps Cadets who will undergo a practice voyage as well as carry out the mission of Indonesian maritime diplomacy.

In the voyage to Russia, the cadets not only hone their professional skills according to their respective corps fields, but also act as ambassadors of the nation who bring the good name of Indonesia, the TNI, and the Indonesian Navy in international forums. Through various diplomacy, cultural, and interaction activities with the international community, KRI Bima Suci continues to strengthen friendly relations between countries and introduce the identity of the Indonesian nation to the world.

KRI Bima Suci is scheduled to arrive in Vladivostok, Russia, on June 10, 2026 and will carry out a series of maritime diplomacy activities for four days before continuing the voyage to the next stage in the 2026 Satlat Kartika Jala Krida.

On a separate occasion, Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Muhammad Ali said that the participation of the Indonesian Navy in diplomatic goodwill voyages is an implementation of the ideals of the Indonesian nation in building friendship between countries and introducing Indonesian culture to the international world.
