Shortly before the event, the Handover of KRI Belati-622 was held from the President Director of PT Tesco Indomaritim represented by Mr. Yamin Basuki to the Ministry of Defense witnessed by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia Marshal TNI (Ret.) (Hor) Donny Ermawan T., M.D.S., M.S.P., representing the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia General TNI (Ret.) (Hor) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.
The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia in his speech said that the presence of the KRI Belati-622 has an important meaning for efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s maritime defense. “I am confident that, under the command of the Indonesian Navy, this ship will be the guardian of Indonesia’s maritime sovereignty which has an important role in ensuring that every inch of the archipelago’s waters remains safe, sturdy, and sovereign,” said the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Kasal said that the construction of the KCR 60M ship is a realization of the priority program for the development of the Indonesian Navy, namely the modernization of defense equipment and efforts to meet the needs of the Indonesian Navy’s defense equipment. ” Marriage ended.
KRI Belati-622 whose name comes from Dagger Papua is a domestically produced ship made by PT. Tesco Indomaritim officially strengthens the ranks of the Indonesian Navy, namely the Fast Ship Unit (Satkat) of the III Fleet with the Commander of the KRI, Lieutenant Colonel (P) Antoni Tigor Parluhutan which was inaugurated directly by the Kasal.
The 60 M Missile Fast Ship (KCR) is a multifunctional warship that can function as a patrol ship and a combatant ship made of Marine Aluminum material which is designed with the concept of Hybrid Mechanical Propulsion System, which is a combination of a water jet propulsion system with a propeller to produce high speed, agile and fuel-efficient maneuvering and capable of operating throughout Indonesian waters.
The specifications are 62 M long, 9 M wide, 5 M high, and 500 tons weighed. It has a maximum speed of up to 30 knots and a capacity of 62 personnel. This ship is also equipped with a Combat Management System (CMS) with Surface to Surface Missile Armament Roketsan Atmaca, 1 unit of 40 mm Leonardo Marlin 40 RC Cannon, and 2 units of 20 mm cannons.
The construction of this ship is part of the TNI Navy’s commitment to strengthening the maritime defense posture, as well as supporting the Increase in the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN) in accordance with the Asta Cita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto in meeting the needs of domestically made defense equipment in line with the orders of the Indonesian Navy Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali where the KRI Belati-622 is not only a tangible manifestation of the maritime strength of the Indonesian Navy, but also tangible evidence of the ability of the national defense industry to build modern defense equipment to maintain the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.
