The JMSDF conducted a multilateral exercise “Noble Caribou” with the United States Navy (USN), the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), and the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) in order to strengthen cooperation to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” as described below.
