At around 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2020, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force arrived at Cape Soya (Hokkaido).
In the sea approximately 100 km northeast of One Qi, corvette Gromkiy (335) was confirmed.
Afterwards, it was confirmed that the ship had proceeded westward through the Soya Strait.
The Ministry of Defense and the Self-Defense Forces are assigned to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s 1st Missile Boat Squadron “Kumataka” (Yoichi), “Izushima” (Hakodate) belonging to the 45th Minesweeper Squadron and “P-3C” (Hachinohe) belonging to the 2nd Air Group.
