The destroyers ARA “Almirante Brown”, ARA “La Argentina” and ARA “Sarandí”, together with the corvette ARA “Espora” and the logistics ship ARA “Patagonia”, trained at sea in anti-aircraft defense exercises, tactical maneuvers, approaches and transfer of light weights.

These exercises, which are part of a new integrated naval training program, took place in the Exclusive Economic Zone, between the south of the province of Buenos Aires and the province of Chubut.

Reconnaissance maneuvers were also carried out by personnel from the Marine Amphibious Brigade and the Special Naval Operations Command, and aircraft from the Naval Aviation Command participated.

This training phase included a meeting at sea between the destroyers that sailed from Puerto Belgrano on March 27th, with the logistics ship ARA “Patagonia”—on its return after completing the Logistics Bridge with the icebreaker ARA “Almirante Irízar”—and the corvette ARA “Espora,” which was completing its surveillance and control patrol of maritime spaces.

These exercises, which are part of a new integrated naval training program, took place in the Exclusive Economic Zone, between the south of the province of Buenos Aires and the province of Chubut.

In commemoration of Veterans’ Day and the Fallen in the Malvinas War, the “Espora” will make an official visit to the port of Comodoro Rivadavia, while the destroyer ARA “La Argentina” will visit Puerto Madryn and the destroyer ARA “Almirante Brown” will visit the port of Quequén. In all cases, the Navy’s Fleet units will be open to the public.
