On Monday, October 28, sailors from the Indian frigate Talwar, stopping over in Reunion, met French sailors from Floréal.
The French and Indian frigates then conducted a joint exercise which demonstrated their shared commitment to the region and their ability to conduct operations together.
As part of the close cooperation between the two countries, the meeting between the two crews provided an opportunity to exchange shared experiences and strengthen ties between partners. This rapprochement thus highlighted the shared commitment of France and India to maritime security in this strategic area.
Then, on 29 October, the two frigates participated in a CROSS DECK exercise. The Floréal mobilized its Panther helicopter for a winch on the Talwar platform, while the Indian Helix helicopter practiced maneuvers above the French ship.
These operations demonstrate the ability of the two navies to coordinate their efforts with precision, illustrating shared operational mastery for the benefit of collective security in the Indian Ocean.
