After the distribution of aid in the form of contact materials using KRI Dorang-874 last week, this time the Indonesian Navy again distributed humanitarian aid using KRI Gulamah-869 to victims affected by natural disasters in West and North Halmahera at Tobelo Port, Wednesday (21/1/2026).
The humanitarian mission was led by the Commander of Guspurla (Danguspurla) Koarmada III Rear Admiral TNI Andri Kristianto, M. Han. which includes basic necessities or contact materials, ranging from basic food packages, cooking oil, mineral water, to thousands of boxes of instant noodles.
On that occasion, Danguspurla Koarmada III accompanied by the Forkopimda of North Halmahera said that all this aid is a form of concern of the Indonesian Navy to ease the burden on the people in Halmahera who are struggling to recover after the natural disaster.
“This humanitarian mission is proof that Indonesia’s maritime sovereignty is not only protected by military strength, but also maintained with high social concern. We hope that this aid can arrive soon and provide benefits to our brothers and sisters in Halmahera,” he said.
This humanitarian activity is a concrete manifestation of the Indonesian Navy’s moral responsibility to assist the community, especially those affected by disasters. The mission was carried out on the orders of the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal), Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali, through the Commander of Koarmada III, Rear Admiral Dato Rusman SN.
