In the past week, Iver Huitfeldt has completed integration with the other warships that assist in the protection of trade traffic in the Red Sea.

In this context, the commander, physician, and electronics officer visited the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower to gain experience and discuss planning for the continued patrol.

The frigate is now so well integrated that it patrols the areas where the Houthi movement has previously attacked commercial traffic. The frigate is ready to respond to threats against the ship and other merchant traffic.

Alongside the daily patrol, a large part of the crew’s everyday life is about maintaining the ship and inspecting weapon systems and main machinery.

However, there has also been time to gather thoughts for sunset, church service and to observe the playful dolphins in the area.
