Note: It is unknown if any of this reached persons in need as most aid is reportedly hijacked by the terrorists in Gaza.

Since November 28, 2023, the hospital structure installed on board the amphibious helicopter carrier (PHA) Dixmude has been welcoming patients injured during the conflict in the Gaza Strip .

In close collaboration with local health authorities, health structure managers coordinate the daily flow of patients requiring treatment on board the PHA. The hospital structure is part of a logic of complementarity of the services available in Egyptian hospitals, by offering complex surgical care sometimes unavailable on land, in conditions comparable to those of a French hospital.

Patients treated by PHA are patients with serious pathologies who require intensive care. For this purpose, Dixmude is regularly supplied with medical freight. Two A400Ms from the Air and Space Force carried out refueling on December 10 and 12.

These rotations also made it possible to carry out an initial succession of around thirty civilian caregivers from the health reserve of the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories. The next generation was able to fully integrate into the on-board system of the Army health service.
