Regarding Japan-Australia Joint Exercise (Japan-Australia Trident 25-4)
The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) conducted the following joint exercise with the Royal Australian Navy to strengthen cooperation toward realizing a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
1. Objectives
(1) Improving the JMSDF’s tactical skills
(2) Strengthening cooperation with the Royal Australian Navy
2. Period
Saturday, November 1, 2025 and Sunday, November 2, 2025
3. Training Area
Southern Kyushu
4. Participating Units
(1) JMSDF: Destroyer Ariake, submarine, P-1
(2) Royal Australian Navy: Destroyer Brisbane
5. Training Items
Various tactical training (anti-submarine warfare, LINKEX), tactical maneuvers, and PHOTOEX
