On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Bundeswehr Day will take place at the Eckernförde naval base. This day is the opportunity to look behind the barracks fences of the Bundeswehr. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Eckernförde naval base will open its doors.
Under the motto “WE ARE HERE”, the Bundeswehr presents itself in all its diversity – to touch, participate and experience. Guests can expect an extensive exhibition area of the army, air force and navy. Modern large-scale equipment will be presented and insights into the capabilities and mission of the armed forces will be given.
Specifically, submarines as well as demonstrations of combat swimmers and mine divers, the large equipment of the army and air force with Leopard 2, the Puma infantry fighting vehicle, the Biber bridge-laying tank and the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system are to be expected.
Residents, guests and visitors are cordially invited and welcome.
Special safety regulations apply to access to the event site. ID checks will take place, so all visitors are asked to carry a valid identity document. Persons from countries that are listed in the list of states according to § 13 paragraph 1 number 17 of the Security Clearance Act (SÜG) will not be granted access to the event site.
