Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) ASLAT successfully concluded a four-day goodwill visit to Brunei Darussalam from 08 to 11 May 2026. Upon arrival at Muara Commercial Port, PNS ASLAT was welcomed by Commander Haji Arnold bin Haji Osman, Fleet Chief of Staff, together with a Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcoming party and band.
During the visit, the Commanding Officer of PNS ASLAT, Captain Nadir Mateen Afridi PN, paid a courtesy call on the Acting Fleet Commander, Commander Ade Roddiane bin Haji Mohd Rosdi, RBN, at Fleet Headquarters. The program also included several professional, cultural and social activities. These included a visit onboard KDB DARULEHSAN, a coordination meeting for a Passage Exercise (PASSEX), a beach cleaning activity and sports interaction at Muara Beach, a cultural visit to the Royal Regalia Museum, as well as a ship reception hosted onboard PNS ASLAT, attended by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin along with RBN senior officers.
PNS ASLAT departed Brunei Darussalam on Monday, 11 May 2026, and was seen off by Commander Junaidi bin Haji Duraman, Assistant Chief of Staff Logistics. Following her departure, a Passage Exercise was conducted with KDB DARUSSALAM and KDB BERKAT.
The successful goodwill visit reflected the warm and cordial defense relations between the Royal Brunei Navy and the Pakistan Navy. The visit further underscored the shared commitment of both navies towards strengthening bilateral naval relations, enhancing professional cooperation and supporting regional maritime security and stability.
