The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted a three-day hauling operation of relief goods at Port Area, Manila from June 12 to 14, 2026 to support ongoing relief efforts for communities affected by the recent earthquake in General Santos City.
During the operation, PCG personnel loaded a total of 20,000 family food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) aboard PCG vessel, Barkong Republika ng Pilipinas (BRP) Corregidor (AE-891).
The shipment also included bottled water, hygiene kits, family food packs, rice, and other essential items from Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan; Senator Erwin Tulfo; Bell-Kenz Pharma Foundation, Inc.; FPJ Bayanihan Party List; Nature Spring Foundation; PCG Auxiliary units; and other partner organizations.
After completing the loading operations, BRP Corregidor departed Pier 13, Port Area, Manila, today, June 15, 2026, to transport the relief supplies to General Santos City.
The mission supports the PCG’s Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement (iCARE) program and the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to enhance disaster response efforts through the timely delivery of assistance to affected communities.
