In an act of profound relevance for the comprehensive defense of the nation, Admiral Ashraf Suleimán Gutiérrez, Commander General of the Bolivarian Navy, announced February 13 from the facilities of Diques y Astilleros Nacionales C.A. (DIANCA) the successful completion of the fairing work of two large units: the Ocean Patrol Vessel AB “Kariña” (PO-14) and the Multipurpose Transport AB “Los Monjes” (T-94).
With the delivery of these units, the Bolivarian Navy reaches a strategic milestone by completing the recovery of more than 10 ships under this intensive maintenance scheme. These naval engineering tasks not only represent a technical achievement but also consolidate the operability of the fleet for the fulfillment of its missions in aquatic spaces.
Sovereignty and Security at Sea
During his speech, the Commander General stressed that the fine-tuning of these vessels is essential to guarantee security in Blue Venezuela. “We are demonstrating the capacity of our naval industry and the commitment of our seafarers. With these recovered vessels, we strengthen our presence and vigilance in every corner of our territorial waters.”
Key points of recovery
- Technical Capacity: the fairing works carried out at DIANCA ensure the structural integrity and hydrodynamic efficiency of large units.
- Goal Achieved: the incorporation of the PO-14 and the T-94 complete a cycle of more than 10 vessels seized with total success.
- Technological Independence: the use of DIANCA reinforces the logistical autonomy of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
This advance reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian Navy to maintain a modern Fleet, ready and willing for the protection of the sacred interests of the homeland.
