Ecuadorian Navy incorporates its first multipurpose vessel, the BAE “JAMBELÍ”, a modern, versatile unit equipped for multiple missions in the service of the country.

It has a length of 105 meters, 15 meters wide, 4,400 tons of displacement and its autonomy at sea due to fuel capacity is 36 days at 10 knots, while due to food capacity it is 40 days at 100% capacity to operate up to 40 days at sea, transport helicopters, execute rescue missions, resupply other units and provide humanitarian support, this vessel becomes a fundamental pillar for the security, defense and logistical support of Ecuador.
