Nuclear icebreaker Siberia relocated

October 16, 2020 – On October 16, the specialists of Baltiyskiy Zavod JSC (part of USC) carried out an operation to re-moor the first serial nuclear-powered icebreaker Sibir, Project 22220, to the seventh berth of the plant’s outfitting quay.

The relocation of “Siberia” was carried out to continue the mooring tests of the nuclear-powered ship and to prepare an order for loading fuel. Work on painting the superstructure has now begun on the icebreaker, which will be completed early next year.
