Admiral Sergei Avakyants, accompanied by Deputy Fleet Commander for Armaments Rear Admiral Igor Korolev, frigate commander Captain 2nd Rank Alexander Matveyev, representatives of the Dalzavod management, examined the ship’s premises, paying special attention to the issues of explosion and fire safety at the finishing stage of work and the living conditions of the crew. During the tour of the frigate, the concept of finishing the ship premises was approved, instructions were given on planning the final stage of the tests. The commander of the Pacific Fleet drew the attention of the commander of “Marshal Shaposhnikov” to the need to control the work of counterparty organizations – as a guarantee of the timely and high-quality completion of the factory sea trials.

As a result of the trip, the fleet commander noted that all work is being carried out in accordance with the previously approved schedule.

On the basis of Dalzavod Ship Repair Center JSC in Vladivostok on the frigate of the Marshal Shaposhnikov Pacific Fleet, the outboard fittings and hull structures were repaired, new equipment was installed. As part of the modernization, more than 20% of the ship’s superstructure were dismantled and re-manufactured according to the designer’s drawings. Trunk cable routes were partially replaced. The modernized ship was armed with modern complexes of strike missile weapons “Caliber-NK” and “Uranus”, as well as the latest artillery weapons.
