Together with 36 personnel commanded by Marine Major (P) Henky Irawan Yudistira, KRI Sidat-851 was able to carry out MSI’s 30 mm Cannon Function Test in Tarakan Waters, North Kalimantan, at 09.00 to 18.00 WITA, Saturday (10/12/2022).

Housing Firing lubrication, carried out first, before the ship and other crew headed to the firing point, after floating in the firing point area, at exactly 11.05 WITA, the installation of 30 mm cannon ammunition with a total of 90 rounds was carried out which was directly supervised by the MSI Team, Dissenlekal, Dislaikmatal, MSI 30 Cannon Task Force, and PT BTI.

Entering the stage of automatic firing without an ROC (Remote Operator Console) target, Firing 1 round of 30 mm bullets with a minimum height of 0° single mode to maximum height, followed by other modes and with several different distances, from 380 yards to 2,450 yards.

KRI Sidat-851 using its 30 mm MSI Cannon successfully shoots surface targets with excellent recognition.

This is in line with the Daily Order of the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral TNI Yudo Margono, “Improve the readiness and preparedness of the Integrated Fleet Weapon System that has high mobility and explosiveness”.
