The Philippine Navy’s lead ship of the Malvar Class Guided Missile Frigate, BRP Miguel Malvar (FFG-06), participated in the 3rd International Fleet Review (IFR) 2026 hosted by the Indian Navy on 18 February 2026 at the Review Anchorage Area of Visakhapatnam, India. The fleet review was graced by the Honorable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, onboard Indian Navy Ship Sumedha, the Presidential Yacht, together with other foreign navy heads of delegations, witnessed a large assembly of naval forces. Onboard the BRP Miguel Malvar (FFG06), the Naval Task Group 80.5 rendered salute to the President of India, accompanied by cheers for the Indian Navy’s successful assembly of fleets worldwide.
The IFR 2026, themed “United Through Oceans,” focuses on naval diplomacy, symbolic cooperation, and strategic dialogue among global naval leaders. It brings together a large assembly of naval forces from across the globe. With FFG06’s participation in the IFR 2026, the Philippine Navy reaffirms its dedication to building strong partnerships to strengthen cooperation and promote peace and security across shared oceans.
