In dealing with the natural disasters that hit Aceh, North Sumatra, Sumatra, and the surrounding areas, TNI AL soldiers who sailed using KRI Semarang-594 immediately channeled humanitarian aid using Heli Panther HS-1305, upon arrival in Nias, Thursday (4/12/2025).
As is known, the Nias Islands are facing logistical pressure after landslides and floods hit a number of regions in Sumatra. This disruption has an impact on the supply of basic materials, fuel, LPG, and telecommunication services in the City of Gunungsitoli and its surroundings.
TNI AL soldiers distributed aid in the form of 192 kg of contact materials, namely rice, noodles, oil, milk, sugar, sausages, children’s clothes, and blankets. In addition, Heli Panther HS-1305 carried out the distribution of contact materials through the air with the target of distribution being SDN 1 Mazo Nias.
On a separate occasion, the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) TNI Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali affirmed that TNI AL will always be committed to KRI elements bringing logistics materials and contact materials to places cut off and isolated due to natural disasters. He hopes that aid can immediately ease the burden of those affected by the disaster.
