PT PAL Indonesia once again demonstrated its capabilities in developing underwater technology, conducting a torpedo test of its Autonomous Submarine (KSOT) in the waters off Koarmada II in Surabaya, East Java. This activity marks significant progress in mastering underwater defense technology developed by Indonesian youth.
This strategic test was witnessed by Indonesian Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin from the deck of the KRI Dr. Soeharso helicopter. The Minister of Defense was accompanied by the Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL), and high-ranking officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and the Indonesian Navy.
PT PAL Indonesia President Director Kaharuddin Djenod stated that the KSOT torpedo firing test went well overall. He stated that this success is a positive step towards national maritime technological independence.
