Philippine and Indonesian CORPAT PHILINDO XXXV-22

The Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) of the Philippine Navy successfully conducted the 1st Leg of the Coordinated Patrol between the Philippine Navy and the Indonesian Navy, dubbed CORPAT PHILINDO XXXV-22 on March 28 to 30, 2022.

The Maritime Coordinated Patrol was executed along the Republic of the Philippines and Republic of Indonesia (PH-ID) border with BRP Ismael Lomibao (PC383) and aircraft NV394 of the Philippine Navy, and KRI KAKAP (KKP-811) and maritime patrol aircraft U-6216 of the Indonesian Navy. During the Coordinated Patrol, both naval assets participated in the following sea serials: COMMELEX, Maneuver Exercise (MANEX), PUBEX, PASSEX, and PHOTOEX.

Likewise, the purpose of this exercise is to secure the border areas between the Philippines and Indonesia from illegal activities and to enhance interoperability while fostering a harmonious relationship between the two (2) navies. Furthermore, it seeks to strengthen ties between the Philippines and Indonesia in order to achieve peace and stability within their borders and nearby waters.
