The mine hunter M 270 “Sub-Lieutenant Ion Ghiculescu” returned to the Constanta military port, after successfully completing the participation in the fifth activation of the Task Group to combat marine mines in the Black Sea – MCM BS TG (Mine Countermeasures Black Sea Task Group).

During June 14-22, the ships within the group took part in the multinational exercise “Eurasian Partnership Mine Counter Measure Dive 25”, organized by the Romanian Naval Forces, in the Constanta military port and in the maritime areas of the Black Sea, carrying out missions to ensure the freedom of navigation.

Together with ships from Bulgaria and Turkey, the minehunter contributed, during June 10-27, to achieving the objectives and strengthening international cooperation in the field of maritime security.

The crew of the mine hunter M 270 “Sublotenent Ion Ghiculescu” consists of 45 soldiers and is commanded by lieutenant-commander Denis Giubernea.
