Northern Fleet Ships Return to Severomorsk

Surface ships and submarines of the Northern Fleet, which took part in exercises in the Barents Sea with rocket firing, arrived at their permanent bases.

One of the last frigates moored at the berth was the Admiral Gorshkov of the Fleet of the Soviet Union, which successfully carried out missile firing at coastal and sea targets.

Also, the flagship of the Northern Fleet arrived at the base – the heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser Pyotr Veliky, the large anti-submarine ship Severomorsk and the large landing ship Alexander Otrakovsky, which practiced artillery firing at sea and air targets in the Barents Sea as part of the ship’s combat training course.

The crews of all ships and submarines of the Northern Fleet have begun preparations for the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day. On February 23, North Sea warriors will take part in ceremonial formations, and coloring flags will be hoisted on warships and support vessels along with the state flag.
