Two Corvettes Return to Baltiysk

Corvettes went to sea on January 23 this year. The detachment’s campaign took place within the framework of the permanent naval presence of the ships of the Baltic Fleet in its area of ​​​​responsibility.

During the campaign, the detachment left more than five thousand nautical miles behind the stern, the sailors worked out dozens of ship exercises and training. The crews of the Stoikiy and Soobrazitelny corvettes carried out a set of measures to replenish fuel and water reserves while drifting and on the move, worked out the tasks of searching, detecting and destroying mock enemy submarines using anti-submarine weapon systems and Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopters. Also, the specialists of the missile and artillery combat units carried out the tasks of launching missile strikes with Uran anti-ship missile systems against a detachment of mock enemy ships with electronic missile launches, the tasks of artillery combat, air defense and anti-sabotage defense of ships were worked out.

Marine units on board the detachment’s ships worked out various anti-terrorist scenarios and fired small arms and grenade launchers at sea targets.

Today in the military harbor of Baltiysk the ceremony of welcoming the crews of the detachment took place. At the pier, sailors who successfully completed combat missions were met by representatives of the command, relatives and friends of the Baltic sailors.

The ships returned from the campaign technically sound and ready, after replenishing the necessary supplies, to carry out the tasks for their intended purpose. The servicemen who distinguished themselves in a long-range campaign will be encouraged by the command of the fleet.
