RFS Vladimir Emelyanov and Sergey Balk Join Mediterranean Flotilla

The mine defense ship “Vladimir Yemelyanov” and the rescue tugboat “Sergey Balk” of the Black Sea Fleet are passing through the Bosporus and Dardanelles straits.

During the planned passage from Sevastopol to the Mediterranean Sea, the crews of the Vladimir Yemelyanov and Sergey Balk will work out tasks for their intended purpose, conduct shipboard exercises in damage control, air defense and anti-sabotage defense at sea crossing.

The detachment of ships is making a planned transition from Sevastopol to the Mediterranean Sea, where, in accordance with the plan for the rotation of ship forces, it will become part of the forces of the permanent grouping of the Russian Navy in the far sea zone.
