Northern Fleet Ships Exercise in the Barents Sea

The crews of the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the frigate Admiral Kasatonov, the large anti-submarine ship Vitse-Admiral Kulakov, in cooperation with the medium tanker Vyazma and a number of other vessels, worked out measures to form a detachment of ships and vessels in the Barents Sea.

During the day, they performed a number of joint maneuvers as part of a marching order with an emphasis on working out navigation safety tasks. Exercises were also conducted on communications, conditional transfer of liquid cargoes. The crews of the warships worked out the tasks of providing protection and defense of the detachment.

Ship maneuvers in the Barents Sea are taking place in accordance with the fleet’s combat training plan. Tonight, ships and vessels will return to their permanent bases.
