The logistic support vessel “Vsevolod Bobrov” arrived at its permanent base – at the Novorossiysk Naval Base (NVMB).
The crew completed the inter-fleet transition from the Baltic to the Black Sea Fleet together with the mine defense ship Georgy Kurbatov.
In August 2021, the Vsevolod Bobrov was accepted into the Navy, and the Andreevsky flag was hoisted on it.
During the inter-fleet passage, the ship’s crew performed the tasks of daily activities in various sailing conditions and confirmed their readiness to work in stormy conditions.
The design of the ship was developed by the St. Petersburg Design Bureau “Spetssudoproekt”. Its displacement is 9500 tons, cruising range is more than 5000 nautical miles, autonomy is 60 days. The vessel is intended for cargo transportation, towing, hydrographic research, rendering assistance to ships in distress. Thanks to crane equipment and a dynamic positioning system, the vessel can carry out loading operations at non-equipped quay walls and on the high seas. Automation class A1 provides unattended service. The ARC4 ice class hull is designed to break through ice with a thickness of 0.6 m.
