Philippine Maritime Inter-Agency Exercise 2021-02

Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) and Joint Task Force Seahawk Commander COMMO CARLOS V SABARRE PN hosted the conduct of “Maritime Inter-Agency Exercise 2021-02” on November 5, 2021 at Brgy Punta Bilar, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.

The Maritime Inter-Agency Exercise 2021-02 seeks to enhance synergy and test the interoperability of participating maritime agencies during the conduct of maritime security operations. NFEM, Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao, PNP Maritime Group Regional Maritime Unit XIII (PNP MG RMU XIII), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources XIII (BFAR XIII), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), and Provincial Protection and Order Council (PPOC) all took part in the exercise.

During the exercise, two (2) scenarios were issued that were participated in by NFEM units, and other Maritime Law Enforcement Agencies namely, BRP Andres Bonifacio (PS17), BRP Gregorio Velasquez (AGR 702), BRP Hilario Ruiz (PC378), BRP Rafael Pargas (PC379), NV394, BRP Tubbataha (MRRV4401), Patrol Boat 151, Philippine Navy SEAL Team (NAVSOU 7) onboard the Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB), tactical watercraft 04 and 37 of PNP MG RMU XIII, Multi-Mission Patrol Boats 3030 and 3032 of the BFAR XIII, Medical Team of DRRMO Surigao City and PPOC of Surigao Del Norte. The exercise concluded with the Passing Exercise (PASSEX) of the participating units.
