Philippine Navy Refurbishes Floating Drydock at Cavite

In its drive to revitalize all its floating assets, the Naval Shipyard made a big leap once again as it conducted earlier today the successful operational test on one of its drydocking facilities, YD205, at Commodore Posadas Wharf, NAVSHIP Complex, Cavite City.

Upholding the core values of the Command towards excellence, a two-day pre-operational test activity such as tabletop exercises for the unit’s personnel, and a refresher training lecture on drydocking operations of YD205 was conducted to ensure the success of the activity.

As an industrial facility engaged in the repair, overhaul, alteration, drydocking, and construction of PN ships, the successful completion of YD205 will provide the unit with an array of the much-needed capability to ensure the delivery of reliable and quality maintenance and repair services to its stakeholders.
