The crew of the Severodvinsk nuclear-powered missile submarine successfully completed the second test launch of the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile

The second test firing of the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile was made by the crew of the Severodvinsk nuclear submarine missile cruiser for the first time from a submerged position, from a depth of 40 meters, in the White Sea at a conventional sea target in the Barents Sea.

According to objective control data, the flight of the rocket from getting out of the water to hitting a conditional target fully corresponded to the specified parameters.

The day before, the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile was fired from the Severodvinsk nuclear submarine missile cruiser from the surface position for the first time.
