Anchorage of the ship and support vessels in the port will last for two days. During this time, the Severomorians will replenish their supplies of water and food, as well as take a break from the sea voyage on the shore.
On the way to the Cape Verde Islands, the crew of the VPK “Vice-Admiral Kulakov” worked out a passing search for submarines along the passage route in the Atlantic Ocean.
On September 23, the detachment entered the Atlantic Ocean from the Mediterranean Sea through the Strait of Gibraltar.
In the Mediterranean Sea, the North Sea people have been operating since August 18. During this time, they made business calls to Algeria, Syria and Cyprus, and also conducted a number of exercises on various types of defense of a detachment of ships at sea crossing.
From the main base of the Northern Fleet in the city of Severomorsk, “Vice-Admiral Kulakov” left on 28 June. Its crew took part in the Main Naval Parade, and after its completion, it worked out individual episodes of practical actions in the Atlantic Ocean during a command and staff training in commanding the forces and troops of the Northern Fleet.
Since leaving the base, the ship has covered about 15 thousand nautical miles.
