“A digital navy for operational superiority in the face of new threats”, such is the theme of the MArine du Numérique, Information and Communication sysTems and Cyber Seminar (SEMANTIC²) which was held in Toulon on the 29th and 30th. September.
As close as possible to the forces, this seminar aimed to discuss the structuring issues of digital tools, connectivity and security necessary for current and future air and sea operations.
Bringing together high authorities in the field, industrialists and on-board sailors, many players were present to animate these two days of seminars. In the form of a plenary session with a first sequence entitled “Forum of forces and setting in motion EMM” then a second followed by round tables devoted to employment, capacity and HR SIC / NUM. Finally, conferences punctuated the day of September 29 with parallel workshops and demonstrations of industrial products.
In parallel with the seminar, once again this year, a cybersecurity challenge prepared by the Cyberdefense Support Center was offered to nationals of the Ministry of the Armed Forces. Open to all, this challenge allowed new cyber talents to demonstrate their know-how in digital investigation. Through varied trials of increasing difficulty, the players worked to solve the puzzles in order to obtain valuable points for victory.
