Maintenance of Aegis system-equipped ships
In preparing ships equipped with the Aegis system, in addition to the SM-6, which has the ability to deal with HGVs (※) at the terminal stage, the ships will have various combat capabilities and mobility equal to or greater than those of existing Aegis ships. In addition, consideration will be given to a design that is resistant to disturbances and expandability that can accommodate future equipment, including an improved version of the Type 12 surface-to-ship guided missile and anti-HGV interceptor missiles.
