On July 23, the frigate Virginio Fasan returned to the naval base of La Spezia at the end of a demanding deployment integrated into the European Operation EUNAVFOR ASPIDES device. The naval assets forming part of the Operation operate with the primary objective of ensuring the free navigation of merchant ships in transit along the main commercial routes of the Red Sea.
