The Overseas Support and Assistance Building (BSAOM) Champlain made its first stopover in Tanzania. This stopover is part of the Southern Indian Ocean Zone (SURSOI) surveillance mission carried out by the Armed Forces in the Southern Indian Ocean Zone (FAZSOI).
This stopover allowed the B crew of the BSAOM Champlain to exchange with Tanzanian sailors, the honorary consul and French nationals on subjects related to maritime security and the challenges of the area and to better understand the converging interests of the armed forces. French and Tanzanian.
After this operational break, the Champlain continued its mission to fight against illicit trafficking and illegal fishing in the Mozambique Channel.
