Project 22800 Ciklon Prepares for Trials

The Black Sea Fleet has completed preparations for testing a new small missile ship (MRK) Ciklon of the Karakurt project, which was built at the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch and launched in the summer of 2020.

At present, the new MRK is based at the Novorossiysk Naval Base (NVMB) of the Black Sea Fleet, where state tests of the ship will be carried out.

The crew of the ship, formed from servicemen under the contract, after completing training at the Joint Training Center of the Navy in St. Petersburg, arrived on the ship and began to master the command in accordance with the combat numbers.

In the near future, the crew, together with representatives of the shipyard, will begin a test program.

The inclusion of the Ciklon MRK “in the Black Sea Fleet’s combat strength is scheduled for the end of 2021. The ship will carry out missions as part of the Black Sea Fleet’s rocket ship formation.
