The Navy Hospital (TNI AL) KRI dr. Soeharso-990, the ranks of the Coarmada II Auxiliary Ship Unit, are still supplying and serving oxygen requests from hospitals in Semarang and its surroundings. Around 440,000 liters of oxygen have been distributed to the public since the ship docked on July 28, 2021.

On this day alone, this ship has served oxygen filling for 3 of the largest hospitals in Semarang, namely, William Booth RSU with 10 tubes measuring 6 M³. Sultan Agung Hospital has 9 tubes and Permata Medika Hospital has 20 tubes with a size of 6 M³.

KRI dr. Soeharso-990, commanded by Marine Lieutenant Colonel (F) Choirul Arif, was specially brought to Semarang in order to help overcome oxygen scarcity in Semarang and its surroundings. Previously this ship also supplied oxygen supplies in the Surabaya area. This hospital ship is able to supply oxygen because it has a generator capable of producing its own oxygen.

The arrival of KRI Soeharso is a follow-up to the order of the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral Yudo Margono, SE, MM, who commands all ranks of the Indonesian Navy to help the government overcome the Covid-19 pandemic by deploying the available resources, including the Warship Alutsista.

The Indonesian Navy in assisting the government in tackling Covid-19 not only carried out mass vaccination attacks on the community and prepared oxygen supplies for those affected by Covid-19 but also prepared field kitchens for those who are isoman in several strategic places in collaboration with other government agencies and the community.
