FS Languedoc “Cooperative Action” With UAE Armed Forces

June 22, 2021 (Google Translation) – Deployed since the beginning of June in the Arab-Persian Gulf, the Multi-Mission Frigate (FREMM) Languedoc and its on-board helicopter detachment (31F) have carried out cooperative action with the UAE Armed Forces.

This week, a UAE military delegation attended a dockside presentation of the building’s “aviation” facilities, as well as the Caiman marine helicopter on board.

Embarked aboard the FREMM, the UAE officers followed the different stages of the organization of an aviation station and attended the Caiman Touch and Go (TAG) sessions . This is a maneuver that involves a helicopter landing and departing from a runway or a flight deck as part of training.

These fruitful exchanges are part of the deepening of bilateral relations with the United Arab Emirates, which represents a strategic partner of France. They also help to strengthen the level of cooperation and interoperability between the two nations.
