May 20, 2021 (Google Translation) – Corvette “Zealous” project 20380, which is being built by Severnaya Verf (part of the USC) by order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the Black Sea Fleet, is preparing to move the crew.
The ship continues to equip the premises for moving in. Shipbuilders are busy sewing rooms, finishing cabins, installing galley equipment. The crew is currently undergoing training.
Now the order ends with electrical installation and installation of special equipment. Installation of ship systems is in progress: communications, navigation, fire extinguishing and others.
“Zealous” is the fifth corvette being built at Severnaya Verf according to project 20380, developed by the Almaz Central Design Bureau. The previous four corvettes – “Guarding”, “Savvy”, “Stoyky” and “Boyky” – are in service in the Baltic Fleet.
Multipurpose corvettes of project 20380 are designed to detect and destroy enemy submarines and surface ships, to ensure the landing of troops, as well as to solve various tasks in the near sea zone. The ships are equipped with artillery, anti-missile, anti-submarine, hydroacoustic and radar systems. The project provides for a hangar for the Ka-27 helicopter.
