SPANISH MINEX-21 is a scalable exercise, the scenario of which allows partner navies to train under realistic conditions. The objective of this training is to reduce the “mine” risk in the presence of an asymmetric threat, as close as possible to the Allied coasts. According to CF Guiran, “ This exercise is an excellent opportunity to improve our interoperability and resilience through a realistic multi-pronged scenario, including an asymmetric threat. ”
Many participants are integrated into the exercise SPANISH MINEX-19 including SNMCMG2 but also the European Maritime Force (EUROMARFOR) as well as a group of Spanish mine hunters. Since the start of the week, the SNMCMG2 units have discovered nine drill mines and three decoys. The various partners had the opportunity to demonstrate the Alliance’s expertise in mine warfare.
