On June 2, the acceptance test of the state tests of the Ivan Gren BDK was signed at the Yantar Shipyard. The act was signed by the chairman of the commission of the state acceptance of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, captain 1st rank Viktor Ivanov. After the revision of the technical means and the final painting, the ship will be ready for transfer to the customer.
The state tests of the Ivan Gren BDK began in November 2017, at the end of December they were suspended by the customer to solve identified technical problems, and then resumed in early April 2018. The sea part of the ship’s state trials was completed in early May. During the exits to the sea and interbase transitions the ship showed good seaworthiness and a harmonious operation of the systems. The result of the tests was the confirmation of full compliance of its tactical and technical characteristics with the specifications of the technical design.
The Ivan Gren BDK is the lead ship of Project 11711, developed at the Nevsky Design Bureau. It was commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at the Yantar shipyard in December 2004, launched in May 2012. The plant continues construction of the first serial ship of this project, the BDK Peter Morgunov, laid in June 2015 and launched on May 25, 2018.
