EDGE Shipbuilding announced June 3 the signing of a landmark AED 9 billion naval contract with the Kuwait Ministry of Defence for the supply of FALAJ3-class missile boats, the largest naval shipbuilding export in the region and one of the highest-value deals of its kind globally.
As prime contractor, EDGE will lead the full programme delivery, with ADSB, our naval arm and the UAE’s leading shipbuilder, proposed as the build subcontractor. This milestone strengthens UAE-Kuwait defence ties and reinforces EDGE’s position as a global partner of choice for advanced naval capabilities.
The signing was attended by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshal Mubarak Alsabah, Undersecretary, Ministry of Defence, Kuwait, H.E. Dr. Matar Alneyadi, Ambassador of the UAE to Kuwait, Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director & CEO of EDGE, and Omar Alzaabi, President, Trading & Mission Support at EDGE.
