This delivery order provides for the low rate initial production 3 initial spares operational requirement to support organizational level maintenance for the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System Multi-Function Active Sensor (MFAS). USS Hopper (DDG 70) departed Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for an independent deployment to the Western Pacific and Middle East, Sept. 28. Hopper has a crew of nearly 330 officers and enlisted Sailors and is a multi-mission ship designed to operate independently or with an associated strike group. Nimitz Conducts COMPTUEX In Preparation For Deployment

Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 11 is currently undergoing their final pre-deployment assessment, Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), marking the completion of their condensed Inter-Deployment Training Cycle (IDTC) for an upcoming deployment slated for this year. The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) completed a nearly two-year yard period at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in September of last year. USS Hopper arrives in Hong Kong for port visit

February 6, 2017 –¬†Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Hopper (DDG 70) arrived in Hong Kong, Feb. 5, for a port visit during a routine patrol in the 7th Fleet area of operations. Hopper is deployed to the Indo-Asia-Pacific region, and sails with a crew of approximately 300 Sailors. While in Hong Kong, Hopper Sailors will have the opportunity to participate in two community programs.
