Wasp ESG, Embarked 31st MEU Sails from Okinawa for Indo-Pacific Patrol

Ships of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) departed Okinawa, Japan March 19 after embarking more than 2,300 Marines and equipment of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). Carl Vinson Strike Group Completes Sustainment Exercise

Crew safely recovered after helicopter crash near Guam

April 26, 2017 – The entire crew, including two pilots and one aircrewman, were safely recovered by USS Dewey (DDG 105) after their MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter crashed in waters near Guam, April 27 (local).
