USNS Mercy arrives in 7th Fleet for Pacific Partnership

Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) arrived in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of Pacific Partnership 2018 (PP18), March 10.  PP18 is scheduled to have more than 800 U.S. military personnel stationed worldwide, working side-by-side with host nation counterparts to be better prepared for potential humanitarian aid and disaster response situations.  The Mercy and an expeditionary fast transport ship will serve as the mission platforms led by Commander, Destroyer Squadron 31 (DESRON 31). U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) undocked and moored pierside at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka after completing a scheduled extended dry-dock selected restricted availability (EDSRA) maintenance period on Jan. 21.
